FAQ001: About IslamIQ.sg

Labels: ,
Bismillah wal-hamdulillah wa-salatu wa-salam 'ala Rasulillah, amma ba'd.

IslamIQ.sg was founded by a group of Singapore Muslims who were concerned about the dearth of well-researched and scholarly Islamic information available specifically for the local Muslim community on the web.

The articles and multimedia contents on the website are reviewed and verified by a few local Islamic scholars who are accredited by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) under its Asatizah Recognition Scheme (ARS), among them Ustadz Hamzah bin Jummat @ Ibn Jamak - B.A. Shariah, Islamic University of Medina and M.A. Al-Quran & Al-Sunnah, UKM.

Some articles of relevance to issues being discussed are taken from the works of mainly Ustadz Abu Mazaaya, the Islamic Religious Council of Malaysia (JAKIM), Sheikh Muhammad Salih al-Munajjid (IslamQA.com) and the Fatwa Committee of Saudi Arabia.

The website was officially launched on the 1st of Ramadhan 1430H (22nd August 2009).

Our Name

IslamIQ is an acronym for "Islam 'Ilm Quest"

Our Vision

"Towards a United Ummah Upon True Knowledge"

Biodata Ustadz Abu Mazaaya

JazakAllaah khair for building up this site.

InshaAllaah it'll be beneficial and create awareness for all especially the locals in Singapore.

BarakAllaahu feek.

Wa'alaykumusalaam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Wa iyakum. Do email any feedback, especially regarding the layout and design of the website. It is still "work in progress" and will evolve significantly in its first few months of existence.

Wa feekum BarakAllaah.

BarakaAllahu fiikum

First and foremost jazakumullahu khairan for creating this site.

With the help of Allah and then the effort from all of you hopefully the site will grow and continue for years to come InsyaAllah.

Can i suggest posting a "Question and Answer" post so that the readers can ask questions via the comments.

Once again, Jazakumullahu Khairan.

Wa feekum barakallah.

Thank you for your du'aa. May our efforts in da'wah, no matter how little, gain Allah's pleasure.

So far, we have had only one post in a Q&A style - RAM009: Soal-Jawab Waktu Berhenti Sahur.

Generally, our posts will be sourced from books, articles or scholarly research papers, hence the lack of Q&A-styled posts.

However, if there are queries about specific topics which have yet to be posted, readers may wish to email directly to islamiq.sg@gmail.com.
